The Forest is a south Fort Myers community of single-family homes, villas and condominiums set inside roughly 620 acres of nature preserve, with two walkable eighteen-hole courses — the Bear and the Bobcat, both designed by Gordon Lewis — running through the trees rather than around them. That is the distinction, and it is a real one: most golf communities clear the land and then landscape it back, and this one was laid into what was already there. The practical effect is that homes back onto woodland as often as fairway, wildlife is a daily fact rather than a brochure line, and a community minutes from Summerlin and US-41 feels considerably further out than it is.
Shot carelessly, 620 acres of woodland reads as a dark tree line behind a lanai. Shot deliberately — with the light through the canopy and an aerial that shows how much green surrounds the roof — it is the single best argument the listing has.
Here they are genuinely comparable in value and completely different in feel, and through a screen enclosure they can look alike. Say which it is, and let the drone prove it.
