About The Plantation

The Plantation is one master-planned community off Treeline Avenue that most people know by the names of its two halves. Somerset wraps around the golf course and the country club; Bridgetown has no golf at all and its own amenity centre instead — a pool, a fitness room and courts, with a fee that reflects the absence of a course. They share the same developer's plan, the same stretch of Treeline and the same easy run to Daniels Parkway, the interstate and the airport, and they sell to noticeably different buyers. Between them are single-family homes, coach homes and attached villas, which makes the range wider than either name suggests on its own.

Photographing in The Plantation

Naming the right half is most of the job

A listing that says only "The Plantation" makes a buyer do the work of finding out whether there is a golf course attached to the fee. Somerset and Bridgetown are the words people search, and the one that applies belongs in the listing, the tour and the floor plan title.

Bridgetown's selling point is an absence, which is hard to photograph

No golf course means a lower fee, and that is the reason a lot of buyers choose it. There is nothing to point a camera at, so the amenity centre and the lakes have to carry it — and the aerial has to show how much of the community is water and preserve rather than fairway.

Treeline is the location argument

Daniels Parkway, I-75 and the airport are all minutes away, which matters to a buyer who still flies for work or still commutes. An aerial that shows the road network does more for that buyer than another interior.

Gated, and the lake decides the twilight answer

Access is arranged before the appointment. Both halves are built around water, so whether a lanai gets a clean sunset depends on which way it faces across the lake — decided against the specific address rather than the community.

  • Somerset at The Plantation

The golf side — single-family and coach homes around the course and the country club. The half buyers mean when they say they want The Plantation.

  • Bridgetown at The Plantation

No golf course, its own amenity centre and a lower fee because of it — a deliberate alternative inside the same gates rather than a lesser version of Somerset.

  • The Plantation Golf & Country Club

Eighteen holes, the clubhouse and the practice facilities — the amenity that separates the two halves and sets the fee difference between them.

  • The amenity centre

Pool, fitness and courts on the Bridgetown side, and the thing that has to do the selling where there is no course to show.

  • The lakes and preserve

Water through both halves, and most of the premium lots back onto it. A job for the aerial rather than the wide-angle.

  • Single-family homes

Detached homes across both neighbourhoods, and the top of the range where they sit on the course or the water.

  • Coach homes and villas

Attached homes with maintenance included — the seasonal end, and a large share of what turns over in a given year.

Real Estate Marketing at The Plantation

Two names, one gate, two different buyers

Marketing a home here starts with saying which half it is in, because Somerset and Bridgetown answer different questions — one has a golf course in the community, the other has a lower fee precisely because it does not. Get that wrong in the listing and the enquiries come from the wrong people. The aerial does the heavy lifting either way: it shows where the home sits relative to the course, the lakes and the road out to Daniels and the airport, and it is included in every ADM package. For the out-of-state buyer, the Zillow 3D Home Tour and the floor plan are what get a home onto a shortlist before anyone books a flight.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you photograph homes at The Plantation?

Yes — both Somerset and Bridgetown, booked like any other Fort Myers listing. ADM has not yet photographed a listing inside The Plantation, which is a different thing from not covering it. Gate access is arranged before the appointment.

  • What is the difference between Somerset and Bridgetown?

Somerset is built around the golf course and the country club; Bridgetown has no course and its own amenity centre instead, with a fee that reflects that. They share one master plan and one location, and they sell to different buyers — so the listing should say which one it is.

  • Will you photograph the clubhouse and the amenity centre?

Yes, and it is included at no extra charge. On the Bridgetown side it matters more than usual, because the amenity centre is what the fee buys. Indoor spaces need permission arranged in advance, which we sort out with you at booking.

  • Is an aerial worth it at The Plantation?

Yes. It shows which half the home is in, what it backs onto, and how close Daniels Parkway, I-75 and the airport actually are — three things a buyer is weighing and none of them visible from the driveway. It is included in every ADM package.
